VIOLATION: Burglary no force
 
CITY, STATE OF RESIDENCE: Pomfret, VT
 
SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 5/13/2012, at approximately 1400 hrs, the VT state
police responded to a burglary that occurred at 4496 Pomfret Road in Pomfret,
Windsor County.

Items were taken from the kitchen cabinets and a large
china cabinet in the kitchen of the residence.

Many of the items include Sterling silver dinnerware, several small “baby cups,” a 1 carat diamond ring,
and a men’s sterling silver, black onyx ring.
 
If anyone has any information relating to these items they are asked to
please contact the State Police Royalton at their earliest convenience.

  1. I will tell you this is getting to be quite concerning – we also had things stolen from our storage unit at Taftsville Storage – several units had locks cut off and contents taken. We lost two sets of women’s golf clubs, some antiques and several other things. We moved here from a city where crime and theft was common place – expected even, unfortunately. So sad it is creeping into our neighborhoods – if asked most people would help anyone in need (or so I would like to believe). Most people don’t steal because they need money to eat – they steal to feed a drug habit – and that we are seeing such an increase in our area should worry us all.
