Search for Bridgewater Man Continues

Woodstock Early Bird hears that our local first responders and local law enforcement are pretty tired this morning after a Search and Rescue operation began yesterday. As yet, (814am) the missing man has yet to be located. We’ll post an update here if the situation changes. WEB

Search for Missing Bridgewater Resident

Bridgewater, VT – 7/23/12 – Today, July 23, 2012, at approximately 3:00PM, a family member reported Terry Copley, age 73 of Bridgewater, missing. Copley is known to have medical issues that make him confused at times. The Vermont State Police initiated a search, contacting Fish and Wildlife and the Bridgewater Fire Department to assist. Members also requested a spot weather forecast, as thunderstorms are known to be building.

Copley was last seen at his house at approximately 2:30 and 3:00PM, today.  He left on foot, in an unknown direction of travel. Copley is described as  5’9″, 150lbs., grey short hair, brown eyes, grey beard, and light complexion. He was last seen wearing a navy t-shirt, long green pants, and navy blue Crocs with no socks.

The search continues, at the time of this release. As new information becomes available, an update will be released.

The Vermont State police is looking for any information to Copley’s whereabouts. Anyone who makes contact with Mr. Copley is encouraged to contact the Vermont State Police at 802-234-9933.
