SUMMARY OF CRASH: On 08/04/12 at approximately 2354 hours, Vermont State Police dispatch received a call in regard to a single car motor vehicle accident on VT Route 12 in Barnard, VT at the old Barnard General Store. State Police, Barnard Fire Department and First Responders, as well at White River Valley ambulance responded to the scene. James Arbuckle, later identified to be a passenger from the crashed vehicle, was the only person present at the scene upon Troopers arrival. Walter Foley was later located hiding in an area of dense, tall brush near the store. Investigation revealed that Foley had been operating the vehicle at the time of the crash. Foley was arrested for suspicion of DUI, transported to the Royalton State Police barracks for processing, and released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court, Windsor Criminal Division on 08/21/12 to answer to the charge of DUI.
