SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On this date and time, Vermont State Police received a 911 call advising us of a single vehicle accident on High Pastures Road in the Town of Pomfret (Windsor County) Vermont.

Upon arrival, Vermont State Police met with the operator who advised while driving back to his father’s residence in Quechee (Windsor County) Vermont, a deer ran out in front of him causing him to go off the road. The operator was identified by his driver’s license as Daniel Shine of Southborough Massachusetts. Further investigation revealed that Daniel had been drinking and refused to provide Vermont State Police with a preliminary breath test on scene.

Daniel was subsequently arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence and transported to Hartford Police Department for processing. Daniel was later released with a criminal citation to appear in Windsor County District Court on August 21, 2012 at 0800 hours to answer to the above charge.
