Irene Community Dinner 5:30pm-7:30pm on Village Green; Slide Show at Town Hall

Rep. Alison Clarkson introduced Gov. Peter Shumlin to Hand in Hand’s Lauren Wilder who is the Chef/Coordinator of tonight’s family dinner. Give her a high-five!

Everyone from Woodstock and surrounding communities is invited to a Tropical Storm Irene Remembrance Dinner this evening from 5:30pm to 7:30pm on the Woodstock Village Green. The dinner is free to the public (that’s you) but it is — in part — your tax dollars at work. The Woodstock Trustees and the Woodstock Selectboard contributed a total of $2,000 from discretionary funds to help ensure the dinner’s success.

Following Tropical Storm Irene flooding, Woodstock lost access to its water supply and various potable water stations were set up around town.

The Woodstock Historical Society has put together a slide program scheduled for 7:30pm at the Town Hall to take a look at “Irene: Past and Present.”
