CME’s and The Northern Lights

A Woodstock Early Bird let us know about the sun’s recent electromagnetic activity which often results in a sky-show for those of us in Northern climes. Last night was supposed to be a big “viewing” night for the aurora borealis with some expected this evening as well. We often reference the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute for information about solar activity. They have an “aurora forecast” with maps.
