Today: Last “Market on the Green”of Season

Woodstock Early Bird has been meaning to mention the great pottery creations from Frog Song Designs that have been offered all summer at the Market on the Green and will be offered — rain or shine — from Andrea Trzaskos today.

Definitely get your rain gear on, fill up your wallet with cash or credit card and head over this afternoon.

We particularly love Andrea’s small ceramic “ornaments” that might make lovely gifts to have on hand for “random” or “not-so-random” friends for the holidays.

Also, some ample, solid pieces — including large decorative pitchers, featuring Andrea’s most recent obsession with sedges, marshes, heron, frogs, turtles and all things wetlands. The sense we get from this ceramic art is that she is — at times — channelling the Grecian urn design — her pieces seem almost historical in nature but are of this place:

We’d also like you to see/consider Andrea’s latest foray into creating silk/wool scarves, a process only she can explain but it involves gettin’ things all damp and then stretching the mixture out and working with the dyes….Think warm and distinctive! Yup, we love her stuff…perfect gifting AND artisanal, oui?
