Sandy Update #7, Noon, Monday: No School Tomorrow, Halloween Postponed ‘Til Friday

We’ve just gotten word from Woodstock Elementary School Principal Karen White and Woodstock Municipal Manager Phil Swanson that the annual Halloween Parade for the kids has been postponed until Friday, November 2nd at 2:00 pm.

Swanson say The Annual Halloween Trick-or-Treating in the High Street, Maple Street and Golf Avenue neighborhood will now take place on Friday evening.

Here is the text of White’s note to families just sent out:

There will be no school tomorrow, Tuesday, October 30th.

We will remain open today until our usual dismissal time.

There will be NO AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM today, Monday, October 29th.

The Odyssey of the Mind 2012 meeting scheduled for tonight here at WES is postponed.

The Norman Williams Public Library is closing at 3:00.

There will be NO RECREATION PROGRAMS today, Monday, October 29th.

Please be safe during the storm and I look forward to seeing you all again on Wednesday.

Thank You,

Karen White

  1. Thinking about you and Woodstock this morning, Julia! Hope y’all ride this one out ok! We’re having our first measurable snow after about 2 weeks of sunny, cold weather. Skating already on Twin Lakes!
