Town Development Update

The Woodstock Town Development Review Board last night unanimously approved a request from John Hurley of  The White Cottage on Route 4 West to operate as a winter restaurant. Its approved hours will be from 11am-8pm 7 days a week.

Going down the line, reviewing the Board’s action from November 23rd…As you may have seen the Woodstock Farmer’s Market has set up its Christmas Tree sales area under the old structure of the Vermont Standard which is now part of the entire WFM complex.  The TDRB gave its approval to this use of the land to Patrick Crowl at its last meeting.

Also at its last meeting, the TDRB added its approval to finish off a 4,850 square foot basement area on the Route 4 West site of the new hotel going up where Pond Ridge Motel was located. Woodstock Zoning officials say all other design and sewer plans have been approved for the project, which is being managed by Aaren Macksoud of Woodstock.  Plans include at least 16 units which will feature sliding or French doors with views to the Ottauquechee River.

Finally, with the TDRB approval, hair stylist Zuri Farlow will be able to convert a barn/garage on Hartland Hill Road into a new salon.  She has been operating out of the Village Barbershop building on Pleasant Street since leaving the Route 4 West area.
