Wassail Weekend Notes

Woodstock Early Birds, if you hadn’t heard, we have a little weekend here called “Wassail” which involves all things holiday…begins this evening with events posted all over town. The National Weather Service forecast calls for some mixed precipitation — especially later tonight, so proceed with caution…

The main thing you need to know is that the Wassail HORSE Parade begins at 2pm and activity on the Village Green before and after. Hence, TRAFFIC issues will abound — if temporary. Woodstock officials ask that we take particular care with our driving this weekend as we expect many pedestrians (and horses) and random sashayers to be crossing streets all over the place.

“Announcement to All Connoisseurs of Living”…Of all the invitations to sample and try and buy and so forth, notwithstanding SANTA at Red Wagon (see above), we found this one from Who Is Sylvia’s Jess Abston to be the most interesting and potentially funkay fun. She’ll be having an Open House Soiree tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon from 3pm to 6pm…featuring refreshments, handmade gifts.

Jess, who loves and is a connoisseur of VINTAGE CLOTHES will be “spinning” old-fashioned favorites on the age-old CD player. Special 20% off any wares over $50 if you redeem one of the Who Is Sylvia invitations OR you RSVP on Facebook on the “Eye-Opening” even page:  https://www.facebook.com/events/301199333314677/
