Brrrrr…Chilly Start

Anyone who had to keep a woodstove or fire going last night…probably didn’t get much sleep…Brrr.

Depending on where you are, you are probably going to walk into a 6 degree or so morning. Wind chills chilly.

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR NORTHERN NEW YORK…CENTRAL
VERMONT…NORTHEAST VERMONT…NORTHWEST VERMONT AND SOUTHERN
VERMONT.

.DAY ONE…TODAY AND TONIGHT.

SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS DURING THE MORNING COMMUTE WILL CAUSE
REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND SLIPPERY DRIVING CONDITIONS. TOTAL SNOW
ACCUMULATIONS WILL RANGE FROM A DUSTING TO 2 INCHES.

BITTERLY COLD TEMPERATURES ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT WITH LOWS RANGING
FROM -5 DEGREES BELOW ZERO IN THE CHAMPLAIN VALLEY TO -25 DEGREES
BELOW ZERO IN THE COLDEST MOUNTAIN VALLEYS.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN…THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY.

RIVER ICE CONTINUES TO DEVELOP ON LOCAL WATERWAYS ACROSS THE NORTH
COUNTRY…WHICH COULD RESULT IN LOCALIZED FREEZE UP JAMS AND RAPID
RISES IN WATER LEVELS TO NEAR BANK FULL
