Woodstock Ambulance’s First Paramedic Coordinator Gives Notice

Pat Cassidy Woodstock Emergency Services Ambulance Coordinator Pat Cassidy has given her notice. Cassidy, who was the first paramedic trained and hired by the Town of Woodstock,  will be serving in her job through the end of March. She has been in her Coordinator/Paramedic position for the past five years, but served many years before that as a Woodstock Ambulance volunteer EMT.

Emergency Services Chief L.D. Sutherland, Jr. said today he and Town Manager Phil Swanson are working on a job posting for the position which should go up in the next week or so.  He says the Town of Woodstock will definitely be looking for a new paramedic trained person, or someone who has the current qualifications to achieve a Paramedic Certification within three years.  Sutherland says he is not sure if there might be anyone locally qualified and looks forward to seeing the eventual list of applicants.
