SUMMARY OF CRASH:
On 02/09/13 at approximately 0114 hours, members of the Vermont State Police, Rutland Barracks, were dispatched to US RT 4, in the Town of Mendon, Vermont, for a two vehicle traffic crash. Investigation revealed operator #1 Christopher W. Bower, of Rutland, Vermont, was traveling westbound when he lost control of his vehicle. Bower’s vehicle then traveled into the eastbound lane of travel into oncoming traffic and collided head on into vehicle #2. The second vehicle was being operated by Georgy Samoylov, of Forest Hills, New York. Samoylov and his three (3) passengers were transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for evaluation. State Police were assisted at the scene by members of the Rutland City Fire Department, Killington Constabulary Service, and Regional Ambulance Service.
