Busy Saturday: Trail Stewardship Day and Road to the Pogue

About 500 runners are excited and ready for The Road to the Pogue Race/Run which gets underway at 830am tomorrow morning (Saturday). Registration is closed for the @ 6 mile race up to Mt. Tom’s Pogue within Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Park. Cheerers-on are encouraged to hike up Mt. Tom to be on hand for this fun and beautiful May event.

It is Trail Stewardship Day tomorrow and if you want to get down and dirty in another way, join the team, led by some enthusiastic can-do folks from our local trails and National Park partners, that will be helping clean up winter debris from the trails on Mt. Peg. Meet at the Golf Avenue trailhead at 10am. The activity is scheduled to run for about two hours until Noon. Be prepared with protective garb and gloves.
