Homicide Investigation in Pittsford, VT

Pittsford, VT – 07/05/13 – Early this morning, at approximately 2:28AM, the Vermont State Police received a 911 call regarding a possible family fight on West Creek Road in Pittsford.

Troopers responded immediately and upon arrival, located Kristen L. Parker, age 32 of Bristol, deceased inside the residence. Parker’s boyfriend, identified as Christopher Sharrow, age 35 of Pittsford, was also at the residence with three young children.

Sharrow was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Rutland Barracks on suspicion of murder.

Detectives with the Vermont State Police are continuing the investigation, while members of the Vermont State Police Crime Scene Search Team are processing the scene.

Charges against Sharrow will be forthcoming.

The children were uninjured during the course of this incident.

The decedent will be transported to the Vermont Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

Once this investigation has been completed it will be sent to the Rutland County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.

No other details are available at this time, as this is an active and on-going investigation.
