@ Fireworks: Truck Driver Hits Pedestrian


From Woodstock Police who did not describe the nature of injury. This incident occurred Friday night:

DATE/TIME: 07/05/2013 2200 hrs.
LOCATION: US Route 4 West/Cox District Rd, Woodstock, VT
At approximately 2200 hrs adjacent to the Route 4 and Cox District Road intersection, a red Ford F150 truck operated by a male junior operator was travelling west on Route 4 collided with a female minor pedestrian.

The minor pedestrian was crossing the road. The female pedestrian sustained injuries were transported to DHMC. The male operator sustained minor injuries and was released.

Investigation under review by SGT Mantello.

Note: A new Woodstock Police Department Public Information policy states reports of this nature are to be issued by end of shift. That said, this press release is coming to you within 24 hrs which is progress for such incident reports…despite it being quite a long time for the many Woodstock Early Birds (including the one who provided the photo )who were at the scene or nearby who had concerns about the welfare of those involved and have been seeking information.
