Rt.106 So Confused!

Many Woodstock Early Birds have been trying to be law abiding citizens but it can get to be soooo confusing out there… For example, what to do here? Houston, we have a problem!

BTW, Early Birds, we will get you more details but North Bridgewater Road is going to be cut off for a bit starting this week…Be advised that you will be detoured if you are trying to use it as a full crossover from Rt. 12 to Rt. 4 in Bridgewater.

Not to mention that one sign says “Stop here on Red,” with a line painted across, and another, further along, says, “Pull up for Green.” But the biggest annoyance is sitting for two minutes on red when there is no traffic coming.

Maybe it is a recycled, (or retro), traffic device. Back in the days of old, where I grew up, we had some lights that were only green and red, no yellow- take a look at the link:

You must fully pull up to the stop line to activate the light change – or you will be sitting there for a while.

Yes, it is an inconvenience – it is also temporary, and for our benefit. Please be patient, courteous, and safe.
