We have lost a true athlete. Jon Ferrero was my son. He did not come home last night, and his lunchbox is still on the kitchen table. When I last saw him he was on his way to a baseball tournament and he was so excited to be playing in it. He would not even let me wash his uniform from the playoff game on Saturday because the pants were going to give him luck on Sunday. They won their game and he was so happy. He had a good day on August 18, except that it was also the day that he died. Children are not supposed to die before their parents. We go to Cabot’s this morning and we are so very sad. Thank you all for your prayers.

Mrs. Ferrero, My deepest condolences go to you and your family, at the horrible loss of Jon. They were all so excited about yesterday, and Jon played a great game. What a tragic way to end the day. I am so sorry.
