Great Programs at our National Park today:

Warblers, Woods, and Watersheds — Keeping tabs on
the ecological conditions of the park (along with 11 other
regional parks) is the mission of the NPS Northeast Temperate
Network. Join NETN staff for this 2-hour hike to try
your hand at the basics of monitoring birds, salamanders,
forest health, and water quality.

Meet at Prosper parking lot.

Conservation through the Artist’s Eye — American landscape. paintings have inspired conservationists for over 100 years. See paintings by Hudson River School artists on this 1½-hour
mansion tour and discover
how landscape painting profoundly
influenced the development of a conservation ethic. $8

Explore the park’s colorful
gardens on this short 1-hour
walk. More than beautiful
scenery, this landscape
reflects layers of careful
design that are linked to the
conservation movement in
the 19th century.

Spirituality & the Environment — This 1½-hour walking tour
will explore ways faith has informed stewardship practice and
the appreciation of nature. The tour includes a closer look at the
original Hudson River School paintings inside the Mansion. $8

MOMENTUM DANCE TROUPE *TODAY * at 4:00pm to offer a two-act performance on the Woodstock History Center lawn.

Momentum travels the country in a mobile “theatre truck”…and they’ve recently been joined by our area’s own thespian star and recent WUHS grad, John Marshall (John has info about the show on his own website, johnjosephmarshall.wordpress.com) .

The performance is brought to Woodstock by a great three-way collaboration/co-sponsorship among ArtisTree, Pentangle, and the History Center. Free admission, with a suggested donation.
